From 1926, Bischoff turned out feature films for Poverty Row studios like Mascot and Tiffany, where his budget-conscious methodology sufficiently impressed the ever-frugal Columbia boss Harry Cohn to hire him as supervising producer. In 1932, he moved on to work at Warner Brothers, primarily as associate producer for the B-unit.

Samuel Bischoff was born in Strasbourg in 1984. He holds a degree in Fine Arts and a Master Degree in Film Studies, mainly works with acrylic, oil and occasionally watercolors. He is fascinated by the expressionism, the history of German painting and the relationship with nature. The weather, clouds and smoke are interrogated and explored.
