For over 60 years, the Franciscan Shops at San Francisco State University served as the campus bookstore and provided other retail and commercial services to the university community. Effective April 1, 2016 the Franciscan Shops merged with and into the University Corporation.
Please submit your textbook orders to the SF State Bookstore by the Provost's deadline to allow sufficient time for the DPRC to obtain electronic copies and modify them as needed. This deadline is generally mid-October for the Spring semester and mid-April for the Fall Semester.
Renting regalia through the Jostens website or through the SF State Bookstore will qualify you to receive up seven (7) Commencement tickets. Tickets will be available for pick-up at the SF State Bookstore beginning May 13, 2024.

Last month San Francisco State University Bookstore launched an app to streamline their buyback process. A first in California, the buyback app allows SFSU students to scan the barcodes of used textbooks with their smartphone and instantly find out how much the bookstore will pay for their books.
