Jul 8, 2010 · UPDATE: A good friend informs me that in the '80s, at the height of her fame, Sheena's first husband performed in drag AS HER-- as "Sandi Easton" -- in clubs in England. I can't help but wonder if this was the inspiration for Jane Krakowski's storyline on "30 Rock" everyone keeps telling me about!

Sheena met Sandi after writing the singer and dancer a fan letter at 19. Sandi was a popular star on the Glasgow club scene. Sheena was a pretty girl with a good voice.

She was born Sheena Shirley Orr in the Scottish town of Bellshill, and was the youngest of six children of steel mill labourer Alex Orr and his wife Annie. Her father died in 1969, and her mother raised the family.
