The Office of Vital Records is responsible for registering all births and deaths and issuing burial permits in Santa Barbara County. We also issue certified copies of Birth and Deaths for the current year and some previous years.
Fees. Certified birthrecords are $29per copy. Please view our current Fees. Requests received without the appropriate fee will be returned to the sender. Make your check or money order payable to CDPH Vital Records. Checks must be drawn on a United States bank.
