STAY AWAY. I had my wedding reception at the Santa Monica Bay Woman's Club and the people who run it are a NIGHTMARE. First they "forgot" about my wedding date (which we had secured with a deposit) and booked another event on the same day. After we got that cleared up and after the wedding, they violated the contract and stole $2,300 from us.
The Board of Directors of the Santa Monica Bay Woman's Club is working to develop procedures in preparation of the Club's reopening in what we hope will be the coming weeks. We will be guided by the safety and welfare of our members and guests and will follow the LA Department of Health guidelines about gathering in venues such as ours.

The Santa Monica Bay Woman's Club is a 110-year old organization with a mission of fellowship, charitable service and stewardship of its 100-year old Clubhouse, which is a Santa Monica Historic Landmark. Our Club's members come together for different activities. Our Monday card group plays a variety of card games, including Bridge and Canasta.
Membership The most effective way to be part of everything the Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club has to offer is to join us as a Member. You can be as active or as laid back as you wish, from just attending our fabulous events to getting into the nitty-gritty of putting them together.
The Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club was organized in 1905 by Elmira T. Stephens with an initial membership of 88 women. It incorporated 1911. Three years later, the new club house was completed. The club members led very efficient fund raising and recruiting campaigns and by 1922 the original mortgage was fully paid off.
