Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui, also called Pachacútec ( Quechua: Pachakutiy Inka Yupanki ), was the ninth Sapa Inca (before 1438 – 1471) of the Kingdom of Cusco which he transformed into the Inca Empire ( Quechua: Tawantinsuyu ).
