Sarah Churchill’s papers were given to the Archives Centre by her sister, Lady Soames, in 2014. Aside from the correspondence, they also include unpublished literary work, press cuttings, photographs, audio tapes and film, which have been catalogued and conserved over the last year and are now available to researchers for the first time.
Sarah Churchill Marlborough, duchess of, 1660–1744, confidante of Queen Anne of England. Born Sarah Jennings, she was a childhood friend of Princess Anne. In 1677 she married John Churchill, later 1st duke of Marlborough. On Anne's marriage (1683) she was appointed lady of the bedchamber and became a close confidante.

May 7, 2015 · In the 1970s, Sarah Churchill published commercially a series of intaglio drawings by Curtis Hooper entitled, “A Visual Philosophy of Sir Winston Churchill.” Except for one based on a sketch of her father by Sarah, each was composed from famous photographs, selected by Sarah to portray the great impulses of her father’s life.
