Scott has had paraplegia for the past 21 years. He is a graduate of Creighton University School of Law, and has been practicing law for the past 13 years. His first legal employer was Baird Holm LLP in Omaha, Nebraska. He then joined the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, starting out in the Housing and Civil Enforcement Section.
