He is best known for directing and producing several horror films, beginning in the early 1970s.

House is a 1985 American comedy horror film directed by Steve Miner, with a screenplay by Ethan Wiley, from an original story written by Fred Dekker. Produced by Sean S. Cunningham, the film is the first installment in the House film series, and stars William Katt, George Wendt, Richard Moll, and Kay Lenz.
Cunningham was finished with directing and moved on to producing films and teaching. He produced House III: The Horror Show (1989) , My Boyfriend's Back (1993) and Friday the 13th's last sequel Jason Goes to Hell (1993) . Cunningham then did yet another follow up to Friday the 13th with Jason X (2001). More at IMDbPro.
