Season 1 was the first season of Fortnite: Battle Royale. It started on October 26, 2017 and concluded on December 13, 2017. It was the second shortest season in the game, lasting only 49 days.
XP Progression System
Unlike the following seasons, there was no Battle Pass. Instead, there was an XP progression system where you unlocked rewards to purchase by gaining XP in-game. This progression system, along with the Season Shop, was taken away with the introduction of the Battle Pass in Season 2. The Season Shop has not returned since Season 1.
