We are an animal rescue specializing in rescuing and rehabilitation of breeding dogs. We are 100% volunteer AND foster based. We have fosters located in Columbus (and surrounding suburbs), Canton, and Bryan.

  4. Second Chance Rescue is a non-profit organization formed to promote the rescue, foster, and placement of homeless companion animals into permanent, loving homes. At this time, we rescue primarily from local animal shelters in the Dayton, Ohio and surrounding areas.

  5. Meet Samson. Samson (Sam) is a young adult gentle giant, that was found as a stray. He loves all people and dogs. A bit unsure at first meeting but seeks affection and reassurance. He walks well on leash, is a couch potato and very treat motivated. Sam has shown a desire to chase outside cats but seems to do fine with inside cats that ignore him.

  6. Every donation we receive helps give the animals who come into our care a second chance at life. Donations help us afford the veterinary care and basic items these dogs and cats need and provide basics they deserve like food, toys, leashes, etc. Please consider making a one-time donation and help us rescue more animals.
