The Savior’s Second Coming has been prophesied throughout the ages. See Acts 1:9–11; Matthew 16:27; 3 Nephi 24:2; Doctrine and Covenants 63:34; Moses 7:65. The Savior will make several appearances before His Second Coming to all the world. Christ will appear at Adam-ondi-Ahman (see Daniel 7:9–10, 13–14; D&C 116 ).
- Where the cleansing and tribulation will begin. Normally when we think of the Second Coming and the earth being cleansed from wickedness, we automatically envision grossly perverse people being removed from the planet and sent into the spirit world.
- It is possible for “humble followers” to be deceived. In describing some of the evil that will exist in the last days before the Second Coming, Nephi spoke of vain and foolish doctrines, pride, secret works of darkness, false teachers, and false churches that persecute the poor.

Second Coming in Mormonism.
