The Seoul Olympic Stadium, also known as Jamsil Olympic Stadium, is located within the Seoul Sports Complex in the Songpa District, in the southeast of the city of Seoul, South Korea. Originally, the seating capacity was 100,000, though today it only seats 69,950.

In a statement, the Seoul Metropolitan Government said it aims to transform the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in southern Seoul, a symbol of the Seoul Olympics in 1988, into a new sports and cultural space in line with its bid to host the Summer Olympics in 2036.
