Jun 9, 2022 · Pop out a blank and insert the switch insert into the cluster. Find a secure place to mount the controller (I zip tied mine to a metal brace out of the way. Secure wires out of the way (used zip ties) and ground out the white wire in the power harness (TPH-021). I used a self tapper to the bracing.

Apr 23, 2023 · I noticed also that the gain function on the trailer brake controller was not really working. We decided to replace the stop light switch, the bracket that it mounts into and the integrated trailer brake controller. This fixed the issue, impossible to know which part(s) were bad but I have hauled our trailer for over 1000 miles since and no issue.
