"A Great Cause" S2E10 was so emotionally deteriorating and such a good episode to establish Fiona's eventual arc Background - *Fiona returns from the club to find that Monica had just been bailed out of jail and that all of the squirrel fund money had been spent.
This episode was the first one that felt a little stale, like it was just going over the same ground again. The complication of Steve losing Marco was boring and silly, but the episode managed to pivot in the scene with Lip, Ian and Mandy, into something much more dramatic and poignant.
