Lechter was co-author on earlier editions of Rich Dad Poor Dad, but the two had a falling out over the direction of the Rich Dad company. In her suit, Lechter made several allegations as part of the split.
She sued her former partner Robert Kiyosaki and his wife Kim Kiyosaki, both co-founders of Cashflow Technologies, for damages caused by them. She had alleged that the Kiyosakis had enriched themselves, diverted assets and wasted money in a business that she claimed to have helped build from scratch.
