Handsome television film about the infamous Victorian serial killer produced in 1988, on the 100th anniversary of the murders. Michael Caine is good as real life Scotland Yard inspector Frederick Abberline, who was in charge of the actual case, and Caine may be the standout reason to watch this particular version of the Ripper story, which has been oft-filmed over the years.
