Celtic Pride® Siberian Cypress is a multi-stemmed evergreen shrub with a mounded form. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other landscape plants with less refined foliage. This is a relatively low maintenance shrub, and is best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed.
The Celtic Pride Siberian Cypress (Microbiota decussata 'Prides') is a tough, low-growing evergreen shrub that produces inconspicuous flowers that are pollinated by wind. The plant is dioecious, which means it has separate male and female plants, so pollination between plants is necessary for the female plants to produce seed cones.
Commonly known as Siberian cypress, this shrub resembles a cross between creeping juniper and a fern. Fine textured and soft to the touch, the brilliant green foliage turns to a russet-purple in winter. Microbiota Celtic Pride is drought tolerant once established. Beautiful display, yet no pruning required. Suitable for groundcover, edging, foundation plantings, mass plantings. Deer resistant.
