- I watched Sinbad and the Minotaur with nothing else better to do, but while I was dubious of whether it would work it turned out to be worse than I expected. Production values-wise, it's a cheap-looking film, with costumes reminiscent of bad fancy dress, scenery that is not authentic at all and camera work that looks flat and rushed.

Sinbad and the Minotaur is a 2011 Australian fantasy B movie directed by Karl Zwicky serving as an unofficial sequel to the 1947 Douglas Fairbanks Jr. film and Harryhausen's Sinbad trilogy. It combines Arabian Nights hero Sinbad the Sailor with the Greek legend of the Minotaur.

Loved the movie. Manu Bennett is an excellent leading man with that charismatic voice. Steven Grieves is a classic rich medieval bad guy. The other actors also gave great performances: Lily Brown Griffiths as an unassuming girl who turns into the Minotaur avatar with those crazy eyes and chants 😄.
