    Skip Woods (born December 4, 1970) is an American screenwriter who wrote the story of A Good Day to Die Hard and also wrote dialogue for John McClane in Live Free or Die Hard. He's credited for A Good Day to Die Hard due to having most of his material from the previous film be reused.

    Earlier, he had made his debut writing and directing an off-color crime comedy named Thursday. Three years later, he became well-established for writing the Die Hard-inspired film Swordfish. Woods followed this up with the screenplays for Hitman, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and the 2010 film version of the TV show The A-Team. His next screenplay adaption, the Arnold Schwarzenegger film Sabotage was released in the U.S. on March 28, 2014.
