At one time the smallest library in the United States, the Tigerville Branch was built in the late 1920s and served northern Greenville County residents until July of 1976. It was located on the grounds of a grammar school located just off of Tigerville Road.

Originally built as a gas station in the 1930's, the building was moved around the corner to its current location and served the town as a library during the summers for about 50 years.
