A Sněžka ( csehül), Śnieżka ( lengyelül), vagy Schneekoppe ( németül) 1603 méteres magasságával Csehország, valamint az Óriás-hegység legmagasabb pontja. Mivel az Óriás-hegység (Karkonosze) a Szudéták központi része, így egyben a Szudétavidék legmagasabb kiemelkedése is, amely a cseh-lengyel határon fekszik.
Sněžka (polsky Śnieżka, německy Schneekoppe) je se svými 1603 m (dříve uváděný údaj 1602 m) nejvyšší horou Krkonoš, Sudet, Slezska, Čech, i celého Česka. Vzhledem k tomu, že vrchol Sněžky leží v Polsku, je nejvyšším vrcholem ležícím uvnitř hranic Česka tedy Luční hora vysoká 1555 m.

The first settlements on the mountain soon appeared, being primarily mining communities, tapping into its deposits of copper, iron and arsenic .

Nov 7, 2018 · Sněžka has its name from the term “covered by the snow” that comes roughly from the 19th century. The peak itself is not so small, so you can find three different buildings here. The oldest one is the chapel of St. Lawrence coming from the 17th century. The second one is the polish observatory with restaurant and disc shape architecture.
