   Jan 13, 2015 · This tour started at 8am, and got us back to Bergen by 6pm. Its a brilliantly organised (but unguided) tour which takes in mountains and fjords, with travel by train(both old style and modern), coach and boat. A great way of seeing lovely parts of Norway in a short time without the hassle of organising the different tour legs individually.

   Sognefjord in a nutshell tour. 8 years ago. Save. For the round trip from Bergen, does anyone have any opinions on starting this tour with the boat, or starting with the train? Starting with boat leaves at 8:00 & returns at 18:00, whereas starting with train leaves at 8:45 & returns at 20:45.

Yes, you can buy all of these tickets on your own and save money doing so but we liked having all of it done prior to our departure and were willing to pay a premium to do so.
