Marlene Dietrich fans and fans of the Golden Age of Hollywood will LOVE this movie. I certainly did. First time I had seen Dietrich in a movie. Robert Mamoulian directed her beautifully in this tale of sheltered country girl coming to work in town at Aunty's (Alison Skipworth) bookstore and meeting young, handsome sculptor from across the road.
