Topping the list of nominations for the 93th Academy Awards is director David Fincher’s Mank, produced and released by Netflix.
Beginning with the 93rd Academy Awards, Best Sound Editing was combined with Best Sound Mixing into a single award for Best Sound. The nominations process previously took place in two phases. The sound branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences shortlisted seven films during the early 1980s until 2006.
