My name is Ms. Flores, and I will be your science teacher for the 2023-2024 school year at South Miami Middle School. I am looking forward to a successful year with great anticipation. My main goal is to create an engaging and comfortable environment in which you can learn and succeed. 6th Grade- Reg/Adv/Gifted Comprehensive Science.
I started in 1991 after graduating from Texas A&M University. I taught in Texas until 2004. In 2004 I moved to Miami and have been teaching at SMMCS ever since. I also have my masters degree in the area of gifted education and additional certifications in gifted education and ESOL.

Excessive school absences often precede grade failure and loss of interest in school. Upon returning to school from an absence, the student must bring a note within 3 days signed by a parent/guardian stating name, reason for absence, student I.D. number and the date of absence(s) in order to obtain an admit from the Main Office.
