St. John’s, Lafayette Square is a downtown DC Episcopal parish across from the White House on the corner of 16th and H Streets NW. Whether you are a current or prospective member, a visitor to the city, or simply in search of solitude during the day, we invite you to come and worship.

Several have been regular communicants, earning St. John’s its status as a National Historic Landmark. In June 2020, St. John’s stood at the epicenter of a historic moment when spontaneous demonstrations against police brutality captured the attention of our nation and world.
Visit. St. John’s Lafayette Square is located at 16th & H Streets NW, Washington DC. The front doors to the church building are on 16th St NW (Black Lives Matter Plaza). The entrance to the adjacent Parish House is around the corner at 1525 H Street NW.
