Croatia national football team (selected matches) Ultra Europe (2013–2018) City Stadium in Poljud ( Croatian : Gradski stadion u Poljudu ), also known as Poljud Stadium or simply Poljud , is a multi-use stadium in Split , Croatia which has been the home ground of Hajduk Split since 1979.
Stadion Poljud is located in the north of the city of Split on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. The stadium lies only a kilometre north of Split’s historic city centre, and can thus be easily reached on foot. Alternatively, you can take bus 3 from the eastern side of the historic centre (from streets Zagrebačka or Zvonimira).
As a revered local monument and protected heritage site, Poljud Stadium (Stadion Poljud) is on the itinerary for most sightseeing tours of Split and is just north of the city’s historic UNESCO World Heritage-listed center. It was built in 1979 for the Mediterranean Games and was opened by then-President of former Yugoslavia, Marshall Tito.

Stadion Poljud is a multi-functional sports stadium located in Split, the second largest city of Croatia. Named after the Polijud neighborhood in which it is located, the 34,183 capacity ground is fully known as Gradski stadion u Poljudu and was built for the 1979 Mediterranean Games.
Description: Stadion Poljud Construction of the Poljud district stadium was ready in 1979, when Split was hosting the Mediterranean Games. With this in mind the stadium referred to as 'Poljudska ljepotica' (The Beauty of Poljud) received extensive infrastructure for football, athletics and other disciplines.
