Stargate Universe is the title of the third live-action science fiction television series in the Stargate franchise. Produced by MGM, the show entered production in early 2009, and premiered on October 2, 2009 on Syfy and Space, and on October 6, 2009 on Sky1 in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Jun 25, 2019 · The series ended on a cliffhanger in 2011, with the crew of the Destiny stranded in a new universe. A fan launched a Kickstarter for a third season, but it failed to raise enough money. A comic picked up the cliffhanger and resolved it in 2017. The show was an edgier take on the franchise, but struggled in the ratings and ratings.
