    • Peugeot 504. The Peugeot 504 soldiered on even after the 505 came out. Built from 1970 till 1983, the 504 station wagon was the brand's bread and butter in the U.S. until the arrival of the 505.
    • AMC Eagle. The Eagle, along with several other memorable AMC offerings, was a cult car from the very start. Ahead of its time in some ways, the AMC Eagle effectively previewed a whole blockbuster segment despite going on sale at a time when no one wanted an all-wheel drive station wagon.
    • Renault Medallion. The Medallion was sold as a Renault for a very sport period of time before Eagle badges arrived. One of the most spectacular sales duds of the 1980s, the Medallion was a slightly restyled Renault 21 which came to the U.S. via the ill-fated marriage between the French automaker and AMC.
    • Buick Skyhawk. The Skyhawk was an interesting experiment, and overall the platform was a success. That's why we still see J-body cars on a daily basis, in 2015.
