  3. Screenplay was adapted by Anthony Horowitz, from his book "the falcon's malteser". I loved the book series when I was a kid. Both novel and film are entirely based around noir and hard boiled tropes from the 40s. This "children's" film is utterly bizarre. Real "I can't believe this movie exists" type of situation.
