According to Rebecca Sugar in Steven Universe: Art and Origins, Jasper has a fantastic reputation and is regarded as one of the best Quartzes produced on Earth. She is described by her as a "highly decorated Gem from humble origins" in Homeworld.
Jasper is a major antagonist of the Steven Universe franchise. She is a Homeworld Gem soldier who is bent on destroying the Crystal Gems and their leader, Rose Quartz, to avenge the presumed death of her superior, Pink Diamond, which turned her into Steven 's archenemy and his most frequent foe.
A warrior from the Gem Homeworld who fought against Rose Quartz's army more than 5,750 years ago.
