Quick timeline: Alvin Lee died at 68 in 2013. He had left the band to go solo in ’73, rejoining in ’89 to ’03, when he was replaced by Joe Gooch, who lasted until ’14.

Ten Years After – A Sting In The Tale (2017) Several things come to light on A Sting In The Tale, with the first being that Alvin Lee has still not channeled a single note in from the great beyond, and fans finally understand that Ten Years After was not an Alvin Lee project.
Together with legendary blues stalwart, bassist Colin Hodgkinson, and multi-award-winning singer/guitarist Marcus Bonfanti, Ten Years After continue to show their relevance, pushing the British blues-rock boom well into the twenty-first century. There is no shortage of brilliance on this album.
