One of the editors had a Twitter thread recently saying the annual budget is $43k, and they set their Kickstarter goal as $15k because it’s only one source of funds. Others are subscriptions, patreon, direct donations, and grants (they are a non-profit). They ended up getting a little over $23k this time.
