Styria, Carinthia, and Carniola as separate duchys in some sorta personal union under Frederik, set Austria as historical friend and royal marriage, and add a mission or event that gives a PU when one ruler dies and the ottomans have a certain amount of dev.
I was looking at the different start dates to see if I could find anything weird, and noticed that at the “Fall of Byzantium” start date, Styria is Independent and the Emperor of the HRE and under threat of PU by Austria. Why is this? Is this historically accurate?
Styria is supposed to exist as an independant duchy at game start, whose ruler was assuming the regency of Austria at the time. This ruler is the starting ruler of Austria in game and went on to inherit the duchy IRL, reuniting Habsburg possessions.
