Rob Schoener is the Men's Basketball Head Coach at SUNY Poly. In his time with the team, the Wildcats have a .600 winning percentage and have made appearances in the NEAC Championship Tournament in each of the last three seasons. Schoener came to Marcy from SUNY Delhi, where he was the Head Men’s Basketball Coach from 2007-2014.

Jessica Skelton is the head women’s basketball coach at SUNY Poly. She also served previously as the head softball coach for seven years, the women’s soccer coach in 2008, and head coach of the women's cross country team for two seasons.
SUNY Poly is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III and the Empire 8 Conference. The current roster of SUNY Poly varsity sports includes baseball, softball, and men's and women's basketball, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball, and golf. SUNY Poly's athletic nickname is the Wildcats.
