Jun 11, 2006 · I've determined that the AC condenser that came with my 71 is not the original design for a 71 Vette (i.e., it was cannibalized from another make or model) and that it is not matched to the Sanden 508 that is now installed. I'm looking at installing a Supercool condenser from Vintage Air or Hot Rod Air for more cooling capacity.
May 9, 2012 · So the cost of R-12 is real expensive, think along the lines of a 12 oz can of R-12 is about $80 last time I checked vs a 12 oz can of R-134a going for $19.99 currently. I've seen many cans of R12 on eBay, they're around $30-40 a can, but that stupid license requirement means I have to have a shop recharge it.
