The movie is set in 1970s West Berlin during the German Autumn. The real-life events (the hijacking of an airplane by the PLAF and imprisonment of members of the RAF are reported on in the background). A teenage girl named Patricia (Chloë Grace Moretz) runs through the streets of Berlin to her psychologist's office.
