In 1317, the area became part of the Pomerania- Wolgast (Wołogoszcz), first as a pawn from Brandenburg, and definitively in 1347. After Wartislaw III died heirless in 1264, Barnim I became sole duke of the whole duchy. After Barnim's death, the duchy was to be ruled by his sons Barnim II, Otto I and Bogislaw IV.
Duke Swantibor I was a son of Barnim III, nicknamed the church founder (born: c. 1303; died: 1368), who ruled in the Teilherzogtum of Pomerania-Stettin. After Barnim III's death in 1368, his three surviving sons Casimir III, Swantibor I and Bogislaw VII ruled Pomerania-Stettin jointly.

Swantibor: Brother of duke of Pomerania. Founder of the Swantiborides. c.1113: Alongside Swantibor himself, another native Pomeranian ruler is mentioned about this time but is not named. He is besieged in Kolobrzeg (Kolberg), which is held by the Swantiborides after it is conquered.

Life. Casimir V was the youngest son of Duke Swantibor III of (1351–1413), who ruled Pomerania-Stettin alone. His older brothers were Otto II (born: c. 1380 – died 1428) and Albert (died before 1412). His father made him leader of the Pomeranian contingent who took part in the Battle of Tannenberg (1410) on the side of the Teutonic Order.
