T in the Park festival was a major Scottish music festival that was held annually from 1994 to 2016. It was named after its main sponsor, Tennents. The event was held at Strathclyde Park, Lanarkshire, until 1996. It then moved to the disused Balado airfield, Perth and Kinross, from 1997 to 2014.

T in the Park has become one of the best known, biggest and most loved festivals in the world. When we launched back in 1994 there were only two music festivals in the UK - now there are many and T in the Park paved the way for all that have come and gone in Scotland since.
T in the Park 2016 was a three-day music festival organised by DF Concerts, which took place between 8–11 July 2016 and for the second time was held at Strathallan Castle, which is 20 miles away from the festival's previous location at the disused Balado airfield, Kinross-shire.
