Jane Porter (later Jane Clayton, Lady Greystoke) is a fictional character in Edgar Rice Burroughs's series of Tarzan novels and in adaptations of the saga to other media, particularly film. Jane, an American from Baltimore, Maryland, is the daughter of professor Archimedes Q. Porter.
Tarzan is contemptuous of the hypocrisy of civilization, and he and Jane return to Africa, making their home on an extensive estate that becomes a base for Tarzan’s later adventures. In Tarzan, Burroughs created an extreme example of a hero figure largely unalloyed with character flaws or faults.

Tarzan and Jane (or Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan and Jane) is an animated television series, produced by Arad Animation, 41 Entertainment and Arc Productions and is based on the 1912 novel Tarzan of the Apes by Edgar Rice Burroughs.
