   Is 'the change-up' worth it?

   • It takes half a film to get there but 'THE CHANGE-UP' is mostly worth the effort. The film is directed by David Dobkin (who also directed the popular buddy films 'WEDDING CRASHERS' and 'SHANGHAI KNIGHTS'). It's written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore (part of the team behind 'THE HANGOVER').

   Is 'the change-up' a good movie?

   • "The Change-Up" takes an old idea and does little with it except for sprucing it up with some vulgarity. However, the crude material does not matter as much as the clumsiness with which it is presented once the plot kicks in. Strangely enough, the movie eventually goes from there to mawkish sentimentality.

   • "The Change-Up" is one of the dirtiest-minded mainstream releases in history. It has a low opinion of men, a lower opinion of women, and the lowest opinion of the intelligence of its audience. It is obscene, foulmouthed, scatological, creepy and perverted. As a bonus, it has the shabbiest low-rent main titles I've seen this side of YouTube.
