  6. Actually the term MOSH - March of the Skin Heads is a term from NYC. At shows the skins and punks had different pits. The term started to get spread by the work of Mike Gitter who ran XXX zine and wrote for some metal mags. In his scene reports he would refer to the pit as a MOSH pit.
