Hi all -- like many, the Dark Tower is one of my favourite series. My son is 9 years old; I was thinking of reading the first book with him. It's been a few years since I read it -- is it age appropriate? Anything to be concerned about reading this sort of book to a 9 year old?

I read a ton of King at 15. My favorites were The Green Mile, Misery, Salem’s Lot, The Dark Half, and more recently Different Seasons (which is a collection of 4 novellas). I also liked The Long Walk, The Shining, and the first 2 Dark Tower books.
