Young Lonny Kesh, the son of poor Georgian farmers, yearns for a life of adventure and excitement in the West. Lonny detests Jud Collins, the town's wealthy, paternalistic banker, and has contempt for his father Tom, a shiftless drunk whose sense of self-worth was destroyed during the Civil War.
Overview. In this western, a young man tries to walk the straight and narrow, but he is impeded by his past. The trouble begins when the young fellow flees his family's Texas dirt farm and becomes an outlaw. He is advised by one of the desperadoes to return home.
Summaries. Lonnie works the family farm in Double Rivers Georgia, but dreams of going west. After he finally leaves, he makes it to Texas where his new friend Frank gets him a job at the livery. But things change as Frank and Lonnie soon are part of the Lupman gang of outlaws.
