May 19, 2024 · The Dukes of Stratosphear are a side project of the legendary UK post-punk band XTC, and a lovely homage to their favorite "singles" artists from the 1960's. Recorded very quickly and spontaneously, rather than the normal painstaking process required to create XTC albums, this music is light, airy and lots of fun.

The New Wave group XTC released an EP and a full-length, combined into one stellar combination called Chips from the Chocolate Fireball, under the moniker The Dukes of Stratosphear. The songs on these records are pure psych pop pleasure.
