  3. The seed of The Family Tree was planted in 1979 for a nonprofit agency designed to help parents create stronger families. The Junior League of Lafayette initiated research and funding to begin the agency located on Ambassador Caffery Parkway. Strengthening families in order to build a stronger community was one of The Family Tree’s initial goals.

  5. Healthy Start, A Branch of The Family Tree, In-person Branching Out Support Group meets from 10:30 am to 12 pm at First United Methodist Church, 703 Lee Ave Lafayette, LA. In our in-person meetings, moms will be able to connect with others in a supportive environment.

In these sessions, the participant will explore the roots of anger and how to choose reactions that are less harmful to oneself and others through—a six-week class series, with $150 due at registration, or a 1 day intensive class, with $200 due at registration. Additionally, 1:1 classes are available upon request, with $300 due at registration.
