Delicious. We like our French Toast lite with a little crunch and this Recipe does that very well. Thanks for the Recipe!
    French Stuffed Onions

French chef Georges August Escoffier, founder of the Ritz Hotel in Paris, France and one of the great chefs of all time, codified many of the classic recipes of France at the turn of the twentieth century. This is one of them, which is still taught to young chefs today! Adapted from The Everything Vegetarian Cookbook.
    French Toast Extraordinaire
    Food.com
This recipe is from Executive Chef Joshua Schwartz of The French Laundry in Yountville, California; one of the best restaurants in the United States (voted #3 in the world). I could not find tomato jam the first time I made the recipe and used seedless raspberry jam, it was outstanding. When I happened upon a jar of tomato jam at a specialty store, I remembered this recipe and purchased it….again outstanding! I guess there is a reason he is one of the top chefs in the world. Note: Adjust milk as needed as different types of bread absorb more or less. I start out with half the mixture and add as needed.
    Chef John's Chicken French
    Allrecipes
Chicken French has everything I love in a recipe. It's delicious and easy, frugal, yet fancy, and everyone loves it. Better yet, it has a vague, confusing history and completely preposterous name. This not-French recipe hails from the Rochester area of New York State, where it's a staple on virtually every Italian-American restaurant menu.
French Onion Soup from Cook's (Cooks) the New Best Recipes
    Food.com
A pretty easy version I found was doubly rewarding by using homemade broths/stocks, which isn't necessary, but I opted for them. Apparently, Cook's Illustrated has TWO versions of French Onion Soup and I didn't see this one posted. We really enjoyed this; it's one of my favorite soups, but when I order it out, I MUST have the cheese topping BURNT. Not brown, not even very dark brown.... BLACK. Invariably the chef gets nervous and lets it go out spotty medium brown and, because of the production I make when ordering, the waiter/ress knows it's not dark enough, so they apologize and bring it back to the kitchen before I even say anything. *lol* This is one of the messiest soups to eat because of the strinnnnngy stretchy cheese, but if it's burnt to a crispy, it's SO worth looking like an imbecile for! French Onion Soup
    Food and Wine
Chef Matt Conroy makes a hearty beef broth that becomes the foundation for his richly flavored classic French onion soup. If you make the broth a day in advance and refrigerate it, it’s supereasy to skim off the cold solidified fat, and you’ll have a soup with a clearer onion flavor. Plus:  More Soup Recipes
