Feb 11, 1994 · The film is fairly unique in one respect: Everyone in it is slime, and the "heroes" are approximately as amoral as the villains. The movie is a retread of the 1972 Sam Peckinpah movie that starred Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw.
All you really have to do to rob a small-town bank is to stick it up and make a quick getaway, right? Not according to McQueen. He prepares a classic late-movie plan including "diversionary explosions," split-second timing, severed electrical cables, and even a map of the local sewer system.

The simple cabins (called Outposts) emphasize calm, unplugged time and offered us opportunities to connect with each other and the natural surroundings. 🍃. Raise your hand if your 2024 resolution was to engage in a little less screen time.
Sep 20, 2022 · The Getaway shocked me. People have compared it to a Black Mirror episode and they’re right. This story is horrifying and unforgiving, and so, so good. We follow several Black characters: Jay most of the time, but also Zeke and Connie.
