Fiji on the big and little screens. Fiji, unlike Tahiti, doesn’t have much of a cinematic history. That’s probably because Paul Gauguin never got there. The artist’s impact on the literary, and later cinematic history of French Polynesia, was profound. For better or worse, Fiji never had as powerful a proponent as Gauguin had with Tahiti.
